Cultural Materials for Rent
Many Japanese cultural items are available for lending. These include kimonos, yukata, happi, flags, daruma dolls, traditional toys, calligraphy sets, and musical instruments. Japan Presentation
Please get in touch with us if you are looking for an opportunity to learn more about Japan at school, university, or any non-commercial event. Japanese embassy staff will visit the site to give customized lectures and programs such as trying on kimono, origami classes, Japanese calligraphy demonstration, and an introduction to traditional children's games.
At the Embassy of Japan, we provide various kinds of books, brochures, maps of Japan, and the periodic magazine "niponica" which introduces information on Japan's modern and traditional culture, technology, and society.
Also, the video series with a comprehensive view of Japanese culture, nature, science, technology, tourism, etc., are free to lend. Please see the sample videos from 'Japan Video Topics' site .
