 Applicants from the following countries are required to submit 2 application forms and 2 photos:

4. Visa Fees

Visa fees vary depending on the applicant's nationality and the type of visa.
Please check here for the details.
The fees are to be paid in CASH at the time of passport collection.
Please note that only cash is accepted and Credit/Debit Cards are NOT accepted. Please prepare the Exact Amount of the visa fees.

 

5. Exemption of Visas

5-1. Visa Exemption Arrangements for Ordinary Passport Holders
Nationals and citizens of certain countries and regions are not required to obtain visas to enter Japan for short-term stays, such as tourism, commerce, conferences or visiting relatives/acquaintances etc. Please visit Exemption of Visa for Short-Term Stay (MOFA Japan) for more details. However, when foreign nationals engage in paid activities in Japan or their periods of stay exceed those stipulated in each country’s arrangement of short-term stay, visas will be required to enter Japan. Please visit Work or Long-Term Stay (MOFA Japan) for further informaiton.
 

5-2. Visa Exemption Arrangements for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders
Japan has reciprocal Visa Exemption Arrangements for Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders with the countries listed in the MOFA Japan website. Please visit Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders (MOFA Japan) for further information.
