Visa Waiver Passport Registration

The visa waiver measure has been implemented since April 2023 and the nationals of Qatar are able to travel to Japan and stay in Japan up to 30 days for the purpose of  Short-Term Stays (tourism, business and visiting friends/relatives etc.) by simply registering their e-Passport.

• Please check “Processing Time for JAVES” from HERE.
• If a third party (proxy) has applied for your Visa Exemption Registration on your behalf, please obtain the PDF data or paper copy of your Visa Exemption Registration Notice with QR code from them, 1) scan the QR code with your device, 2) enter your passport number and date of birth, 3) then you can display your Visa Exemption Registration Notice on your device. The time displayed at the top right of the screen should count down. This confirms that the Visa Exemption Registration Notice displayed is authentic. Screenshots are not accepted.​

• No Passport Registration or Visa are required.
• Special/Diplomatic Passport Holders are eligible to enter Japan and stay there up to 90 days without obtaining a visa or registering their passport.
