Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)
The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a test designed for non-native speakers of Japanese to evaluate and certify their proficiency in the Japanese language. The test is administered simultaneously twice a year in Japan and at various locations overseas. The JLPT is open to all non-native speakers of Japanese. There is no age limit for the JLPT.
JLPT certification offers several benefits. In Japan, the JLPT qualifies for preferential immigration treatment. It also qualifies candidates for various national examinations. Outside of Japan, it is widely used for school credit, graduation certification, job screening and promotion, and a variety of national qualifications.
In Qatar, Qatar University is the only place that conducts JLPT and only in December.
