< Reason for Acquisition >
A Police Certificate from the Japan National Police Agency will be issued only when it is required by a foreign government or agency, provided that the certificate may be used for certain official purposes, such as to obtain a Long Term Work Permit or a Resident Visa etc.
- Kindly email us at eojqatar@dh.mofa.go.jp to confirm if your case is eligible for a Police Certificate application.
- Only applicants who are residents in Qatar can apply.

1) Your Valid Passport
2) Application Form(s) (Available at the Embassy)
3) Additional Documents if required
< Required Information >
1) The name of the country where you will be submitting the certificate.
2) The purpose of the certificate issuance (e.g. to obtain a Long Term Work Permit etc.)
3) Please confirm with the organisation/agency/employer whether you need Authentication or Apostille on your certificate.
*Once these issues are clarified, you can proceed with the appointment.

- Appointments are required to apply for a Police Certificate.
- Please email us at eojqatar@dh.mofa.go.jp to make an appointment.
- Applicants must come to the Embassy in person to have his/her fingerprints taken.
- It takes approximately 30-60 minutes to take your fingerprints.

< Processing Time >
It takes approximately 2-3 months from the time of application to issuance of the certificate.
The Embassy will contact you when the Police Certificate is ready for collection.
