Notice on Export of Processed Food Products to Qatar

Recently, cases have been reported in which consignments of processed food products exported from Japan have been rejected at ports in Qatar due to deficiencies or non-compliance in health certification documents.
 
In response to regulatory requirements imposed by the Qatari authorities, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) has, as of July 2025, published a new format of Health Certificate required for the export of processed food products to Qatar and Oman on its official website.
For exports to Qatar, this Health Certificate is issued by MAFF, replacing the certificates that were previously issued by chambers of commerce.
 
Please note that the export of beef and fishery products to Qatar remains subject to the existing procedures in accordance with the relevant product-specific guidelines.
