About Donation regarding Great East Japan Earthquake

The largest earthquake and tsunami ever recorded in Japan hit the country on March 11 and caused a devastating damage. There are many casualties and missing people. The major infrastructure suffered severe damages. The aftershocks are continuing and the damage is still spreading.
The Government of Japan is exerting utmost effort to cope with this unprecedented disaster by taking all possible measures including those to contain damage from the nuclear power plants.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Japan, I would like to extend our gratitude for sympathies and condolences received from many people in Qatar.
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent cables of condolences to HM the Emperor of Japan. The Government of the State of Qatar offered to send an emergency relief team and provide relief supplies.

The challenge to reconstruct the nation will be enormous. Yet, I believe that Japan and Japanese people will be able to overcome this national crisis, as has been the case in the past.
I would like to thank you once again for your support.
